Mário Torais

Head of Accounting

Mário joined NEWCO’s accounting department in 2005, and currently has over 20 years of experience in auditing and accounting for companies that operate internationally, in the most diverse of sectors. Since 2009, he has been leading the team that ensures that both Portuguese and Maltese companies comply with accounting and tax regulations while they are managed by NEWCO.

He has a degree in Business Management from ISEG – The Lisbon School of Economics and Management,  and holds several diplomas in the area of international taxation, always keeping himself up to date with developments, both in Portugal and Malta. He is a certified accountant by the Professional Association of Certified Accountants. Prior to joining NEWCO, Mário was an auditor at Rosa Lopes, Gonçalves Mendes & Associado, SROC and an accountant for several Portuguese companies.

As well as Portuguese, his native language, he is fluent in English and also speaks good Spanish.
